It can be truly said she was a precious wife, mother and grandmother, and the beautiful Christian life she lived was an example to all who knew her. Her cheerful voice is hushed forever and the sweet smiles from her face are hidden but in memory they will live on. We often wonder why such treasures are removed from us, but God knows best and for some purpose the angel came for her, leaving a vacant chair in her home never to be filled again, and taking a mother and friend that can never be replaced. Only those who knew her can realize what they have lost. She was a loving, faithful mother and guided her children in the ways of religion and God. She was a member of the Baptist Church where she expressed her faith in God and his goodness, always appreciative, considerate and kind to those about her. I've known her for Over twenty years and I can truly say I never saw her unkind to anyone. Her going was indeed "The Sundown for a beautiful life. "She is survived by five children, two daughters, Mrs. O. L. Pippen of Vernon, and Mrs. W. P. Gilbert for Campbellton; three sons, Walter, Drew and George of Cypress. Interment was made beside her husband in the Fulgham cemetery near Dellwood, Rev. Milo H. Masey in charge of the funeral. This memorial to her unselfish life is written by one who knew her best and feels a loss at her gain. Mrs. Clara McMillian Sent in by: Elizabeth Pippen Walters
