James Earnest Cook, Jr., 92, of Clermont. Survivors include his wife, Mary 
Lynn; daughters, Mary Jane Herwick of Clermont, Judith Galphin of Alpharetti, 
Ga.; Sister, Francis Zellner of Macon, Ga.; three grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
He was a civil engineer and a member of First United Methodist Church of 
Clermont



He served with the Army combat forces in Italy, France, Germany during World 
Was II, attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel.
