Survivors include his wife Ruth Joyce; a son, John Keith of North Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Patricia Balliet of Leesburg.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Additional Comments: He was a retired New York City firefighter, and a member of Morrison United Methodist Churvh in Leesburg. He was a B-27 co-pilot during World War II, flying 35 combat missions. A memorial service held in the funeral home, Chapel with the Rev. Barry Lane officiating. The VFW will provide military honors at the Memorial Gardens in Hawthorne at a later date.
