Herman W. 'Jim' Ficke, 89, of Tavares. Survivors iclide his wife, Clara; 
daughter, Lois Gail Truitt of Pompano Beach; stepdaughters, Sandra Sloan of 
Oakley, Mich., an Paula Hole of Cedar Springs, Mich.; stepsons, William Everett 
of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Donald Everett of Chesaning, Mich.; brothers, Henry 
of Buena Park, Calif., and Tom of Covington, Ky.; sisters, Veronica Judy and 
grace Young, both of Frankfort, Ky.; seven grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
He was a retired railroad mechanic. Also a member of St Mary of the Lakes 
Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass held at the church with a wake service at the funeral home.
