Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae "Tootsie"; son, Rick of Leesburg; daughter, Carolyn Garner Harp of Leesburg; brother Fred G. of Groveland; sister, Ida Margaret Hooten of Waldo. Additional Comments: He was a watch maker at Edenfield's Jewelry Store which he purchased in 1965 and owned and operated until Jan. of @000. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal and two clusters during his time in the service. Also served on 49 bombing missions. A veteran of U.S. Air Corps in World War II. Funeral services held at the church with Harold Jones officiating. Interment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with full military honors. Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg.
