Survivors include his wife Lillie Mae 'Tootsie'; son, Ricky 'Rick' of Leesburg; daughter, Carolyn Garner Harp of Leesburg; sister, Ida Margaret Hooten of Waldo; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Additional Comments: He was a watchmaker at Edenfield's Jewelry Store which he purchased in 1965 and owned and operated until January of 2000. He was a member of Downtown Merchants Association, co-founder of Carver heights Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, where he was a radio operator and machine gunner of a B-24. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and two clusters.
