Irene Brown James, 71, of Leesburg died in Sebring.  Survivors include her 
daughters, Tonja Chatman of Lady Lake, Leona Salters, Cheryl Sweeting, Shirley 
Rosier, Alice Mae Brown, Diamante Sweeting, all of Leesburg, Vernell Brown of 
Belle Glade; sons, Vernon of North Carolina, Edward Brown of Brooksville, Tommy 
Brown of Gainesville, Lucius Ewell of Charleston, S. C., Arthur Brown of Avon 
Park, William Brown of Avon Park and Freddie Southall Jr. of Groveland;24 
grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
She was a homemaaker and a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 
Fruitland Park.



Burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Leesburg. The Rev. E. Rachel will officiate.
