Dr. R. H. Montgomery, 78, died at his winter home in Mount Dora following a 
stroke and subsequent colon cancer. Survivors include his wife, Vanna; son, 
Louis Albert of Lake Worth; daughters, Candace Montgomery Steventon of Duluth, 
Ga., Roberta Ann of Fort Meyers and Marcia Lynn Heidelberg Stoker of Lakeland; 
seven grandchildren; and sister, Elizabeth Montgomery Fleming of Falfurias, 
Texas.

Additional Comments:
He received his doctor of medicine degree at George Washington University, 
Washington, D.C.



He was a football team physician for the Mount 

Dora High School for more than 25 years.



He served as chief of staff at both the Leesburg Durham Young Hospital and the 
Waterman Hospital in Eustis.



Funeral service at First United Methodist church of Mount Dora, with interment 
at Pine Forest Cemetery on Donnelly Street, Mount Dora.
