Survivors include his wife, Rosemary C.; a son, James of Tallahassee; five daughters, Linda Bryant of Clearwater, Laura Bluestone of Minneola; Jeannine Powell of New Port Richey, Carolyn Cosco of Cranberry Township, Pa., an Donna Galbreath of Longmont, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Additional Comments: He retired from the U.S. Navy after serving in World War II and Korea. Member and past commander of the American Legion Frank M. Valentine 9 in Ajijic, Mexico, member of the national Box Car Association of 40 & 8, and founder of Project Phoenix Scholarship Fund for needy Mexican children in Chapala, Mexico.
