Martel Yard of Mattapoisett, Mass.; one daughter, Deborah Mello of Martha's 
Vineyard, Mass,; one sister, Edith Madden of Yarmouth, Maine; and six 
grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
He was a retired college professor, Merchant Marine in World War II and a 
Protestant.
