 Aleta Sue McDaniel Adam, 66, died December 22, 2011, in Fort Myers,FL. She 
had been battling a recurrence of cancer for over a year, and she died of 
complications from esophageal cancer. A Lee County native, Aleta was born 
August 4, 1945 and raised in Fort Myers spending most of her life in southwest 
Florida. She was a member of Fort Myers High School class of 1963. Her parents 
were Norman Odell McDaniel, Sr. (Mac the Barber) and Lorraine Prine McDaniel, 
Fort Myers residents since the early 1930's.
 Survivors include her two daughters and their families, a brother, six 
grandchildren,and two great-grandchildren.
 Aleta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas William Adam; 
and her two older brothers, Norman Odell (Del) McDaniel Jr. and Donald Lee 
(Donnie) McDaniel.
