Bahret passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011 after a brief stay at Hope Hospice House. She was 100 years old. She was born Hazel Imogene McMullen, July 20, 1911, on a farm near Clarks Corners, Ohio, a small rural community near Conneaut, Ohio. Her family moved to a farm near Elyria, Ohio where she lived until she married John F. Dickerson in 1936. They lived in Oberlin, Ohio until 1966 when they moved to Tice, Florida. Hazel atended a one-room school house in Elyria, where she graduated at age 16. She also graduated from Oberlin School of Business, and became a secretary for the Ohio Fuel Gas Company in Elyria, Ohio. During her stay in Tice, she has been very active in the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Myers. Hazel is pre-deceased by her parents, Jesse and Edith Pember McMulle; her three brothers, Glen, Carl and William Ellis, two husbands, John F. Dickerson and William Bahret; her daughter, Lois Ann Dickerson Marshall. She is survived by three sons and their families,six grandsons, three granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed for her enduring love, quick wit, sage advide and love of life. A memorial service is planned for December 17, at 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Myers, Fl.
