 Mr. Branson was born in Harvey, IL on May 22, 1929 and attended Thornton 
Township High School  until joining the United States Marine Corps in May, 
1946 serving in North China and Guan. He was discharged from the Marines in 
1949, joining the U.S Air Force as a member of the Air Police and was 
stationed on Okinawa during the Korean War. Upon returning from this tour of 
duty, he rejoined the Marine Corps Reserve until discharged in 1960.
 He and his wife moved to Sun City West from Florida in 2005. He had retired 
in 1994 from the Lee County Election Office after 22 years of service.
 Survivors include his wife of 45 years, two sons,a daughter and their 
families, a sister, twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
 Private Interment will be held at a later date.
