Bryson, 90, long time resident of Sanibel, FL passed away unexpectedly Wednesday night. She had been on an extended visit with her daughter in Lenexa, Kansas at the time of her death. Jane was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In her life she overcame many health obstacles including polio as a child and at her death, she was winning her battle with cancer. A first-generation American, she was especially proud of her military service during WWII. She was among one of the first groups of women in the Navy WAVES and served her country through the end of WWII. She continued her support of women in the military and was an early contributor to the Women in Military Service for America, specifically the Women in WWII Memorial.
