 Don O. Carstensen, 78, 0f Cape Coral, FL passed away at Heartland Nursing 
Home, Ft. Myers on January 11, 2012. Don was born in Hammond, Indiana to Owen 
and Olive Carstensen. He resided in Merrillville, IN for 32 years. He was a 
member of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army) and retired from Indiana Bell after 35 
years. He was also a creative wood artist while living in Cape Coral, FL. 
 Don leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, two daughters and a son and 
their families, several grandchildren  a sister and two brothers.
 Services will be conducted at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Ft. 
Myers. The family will be receiving guests from 2-3 p.m. for visitation on 
Saturday, January 14, 2012. The service will be officiated by the priest from 
The Church Of Ressurrection in Ft. Myers and will begin at 3 p.m.
