 Catheriine M. Curtis, 52, of Fort Myers, FL passed away April 4, 2012. She 
was born on November 25, 1959 in Fort Waldon Beach, FL. She was preceded in 
death by her beloved mother Elise G. Riehm and mother-in-law Betty E. Curtis. 
She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, father, brother, father in 
law and sister in law.
 Cathy grew up in an Air Force family and travelled the U.S and parts of 
Europe. Cathy was a Certified Public Accountant and was elected Lee County Tax 
Collector in 2000. Cathy was Collier County Controller from 1991-1994 and 
Budget Director for the city of Fort Myers from 1994-2000. Cathy graduated 
from Upper Heyford High School England and earned her Associate of Arts degree 
from the University of Maryland, Munich, Germany and a Bachelor of Business 
Administration from Northeast Louisiana University.
 Cathy had a longtime illness with cancer, yet she went into the office at 
every opportunity.
 A memorial and celebration of her life will be held at Harborside Event 
Center, Fort Myers on Wednesday, Aprill 11, 2012 at 5:15 p.m.  In lieu of 
flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Preston Robert 
Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC.
