 Gerard David, 82, passed away at Hope Hospice on April 3, 2012. He was born 
in Germany where his family fled Nazi tyranny in the 1930's.The family 
emigrated to Montevideo, Uruguay where they had a grocery store for several 
years. In 1945 the family moved to the U.S where Gerry completed high school 
in NYC. At 19 he joined the U.S Army and was stationed in Germany where he met 
his beloved wife. After his military service he and his wife made their home 
in Long Island, NY where they had two children. Gerry had a career as a 
purchasing agent in the import-export business. 
 Gerry and his wife purchased a home in Cape Coral, FL in 1980's. He was an 
avid sailboat enthusiast.
