 Iris A. Duers, 76, passed away December 7, 2011 in Fort Myers, FL. She was 
born in Bayonne, NJ in 1935 to the late John and Iris (Golden) Brower. In 
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Brower.
 Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, two sons and their 
families, and several grandchildren.
 Iris and her husband moved to Fort Myers in 1986. They are formerly of 
Bayonne and Roselle Park, NJ. She graduated from the Boyonne Hospital School 
of Nursing as an RN in 1955 and continued her education earning her Bachelor's 
Degree from Jersey City State Teachers College. She was a nurse in Bayonne 
Hospital in the Pediatric department. She later was a school nurse in 
Hillside, NJ. After retirement she volunteered as a tutor for under privileged 
children and adults at the Hope Hospice Resale Store. 
 There will be a visitation on Friday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM 
at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral will take place Saturday 
at 10:00 AM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
