 On January 8, 2012 Evelyn Ashmead Dupont, 98 years old, died at Hope Hospice 
in Ft. Myers, FL. She was born in Jamaica, N.Y to the late Nelson B. and 
Carolyn (Murray) Ashmead. She attended the Cathedral School of St. Mary, 
Garden City, and the New York School of Interior Decorating.
 She and her husband, Howard Geoffrey Dupont moved from Merrick Long Island to 
Port St. Lucie in 1968. After becoming widowed Evelyn moved to Pinehurst, NC 
for four years, then returned to Florida living in Ft. Myers until her death.
 She is survived by her daughter, son and their families,five grandchildren 
and seven great-grandchildren.
 Her husband and a daughter in law, Janet Dupont preceded her in death. 
 A memorial service will be held on Feb. 19, 2012 at the Unitarian 
Universalist Church, Ft. Myers.
