 Charlotte K. Dyess, 92, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. 
She was born on February 2, 1920 in Millville, New Jersey before moving to 
Florida in 1936. For decades, with her husband, Charlotte was the proud owner 
of Dyess Groves in Alva, FL until her retirement at the age of 85. 
 She is survived by two daughters and their families, sister, brother, ten 
grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great-greatgrandchildren and 
several nieces and nephews. 
 Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Dyess; son Dean 
Edwin Earl Dyess Jr., and grandson Robert Lee Spikes.
 Funeral servicews will begin at 3 pm Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Alva United 
Methodist Church, Alva, FL. Interment will follow in Alva Cemetery.
