 Michael M. Hackett, 89,  of Fort Myers, FL passed away on Friday, December 
16, 2011.
 Michael graduated from Middleport High School in Middleport, OH. He attended 
Edison Junior College and also served in the United States Marine Corps from 
1942 to 1946 with duty in Okinawa, Guadacanal and North China. Michael was the 
proud owner of Hackett's Safety Service in Fort Myers for over 44 years. A 
devoted Catholic, Michael was a parishioner at St. Francis Xavier for over 50 
years.
 Mr. Hackett was preceeded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lucille in July 
2011; and his daughters Marsha and Monica.
 He is survived by his two sons and families, two daughters and families, 
three sisters , 5 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
 Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2011 . Visitation 
will be from 11-1 with the service to begin at 1pm at St. Francis Xavier 
Catholic Church in Fort Myers. Burial will follow at Fort Myers Memorial 
Gardens Cemetery.
