William E. Hammer, 86, of North Fort Myers,FL passed away April 10, 2012. Bill 
was on of two surviving airmen of the WWII crew of their beloved B-
17, "Portland Rose". Bill was a ball turret gunner.
 Born in PA, Bill is survived by his loving wife, son and two daughters and 
their families, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and four 
stepchildren.
 Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice.
