 William George Handlowich, 87, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Wednesday, 
October 12, 2011 at his home with his family beside him. He was born on 
October 29, 1923 in Meriden, CT to William Logan and Ruth Handlowich. Bill was 
a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Force for 18 years. He has 
been a resident of Cape Coral for 21 years moving from Guilford, CT where he 
worked for the Town for 35 years and was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for 45 
years. Bill was a Life Member of the V.F.W., Past Commander of Harney Point 
V.F.W Post 8563, Cape Coral.
 He is survived by his wife,three daughters, two sons and nine grandchildren 
and 12 great-grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Logan 
Handlowich, son, David DeConte, grandson, Wayne Sharp Jr.
 Services will be at 3 p.m on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Coral Ridge Funeral 
Home, Cape Coral with Military Honors provided by the V.F.W Post 8463. 
Interment will be at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
