 The late Melvin Lee Hardwick was born June 29, 1962 in Fort Myers, FL to 
Edith Harwick and Walter Rayner, Melvin took his rest on November 4, 2011 at 
1:00 a.m. at Gulf Coast Hospital. 
 He attended Lee County Schools, a graduate of Cape Coral High School-class of 
1981. He earned a scholarshop in football then attended Alabama State 
University. Melvin was an awesome mechanic and loved to work on cars and 
trucks. He also drove a truck for numerous years for Florida Rock until he 
became ill in 2007.
 Preceded in death by his loving mother Edith hardwick, grandmother Sophia 
Hardwick and grandfather Deacon J.C. Rayner.
 He leaves to cherish his memories his fiance, father, three sons, a daughter, 
five sisters,five brothers,several grandchildren and a host of family 
relatives.
 Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. and services will 
be Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1 p.m at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist 
Church, Ft. Myers.
