 The community celebrates the life of Isabella S. Jennings, 94, who passed 
away on November 11, 2011. Born on November 5, 1917 to Charles & Catherine 
Stairiker in Philadelphia, PA. She moved to Fort Myers to live with her 
family, Dr. & Mrs. Robley Newton, and graduated from Ft. Myers Sr. High School 
in 1935. She married Thomas P. Jennings during WWII while he was in the Navy 
and she was working on the Miami Navy Docks. After WWII, they resided on Fort 
Myers Beach where she was a pioneer in condominium development with her 
cousin. Isabella was an active member of the American Legion, a charter member 
of the Ft. Myers Beach Board of Realtors and a parishioner of the Catholic 
Church on the Ascension. 
 Isabella was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, and is survived by her 
two daughters and their families, and several grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren. Arrangements by Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens.
