 Ida L. Jensen, formerly of Elgin, IL, went to be with her Lord and Savior 
Jesus Christ on October 13, 2011 in Cape Coral, FL at the age of 97. Ida was 
born on Dcember 11, 1913 in Holzhausen, Germany, and she came to the United 
States with her parents William and Sophie Delkus and her older sister Sophie 
in 1924.
 She was married to Bernard (Ben) Jensen on November 13, 1932 and raised her 
family in Elgin, Illinois. Following retirement, Ida and her husband moved to 
Cape Coral, FL in 1981.
 Ida was preceded in death by her parents and sister, and her husband Ben who 
died in 1992 and her son-in-law John L. Fritz (died in 2000). She is survived 
by a daughter and two sons and five grandchildren.
 Services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Christ Lutheran 
Church, Cape Coral with viewing to begin at 10:00 a.m , the Memorial Service 
beginning at 11:00 a.m. and followed by a reception in the church hall. 
Interment at Coral Ridge Cemetery, Cape Coral after the reception.
