 Wendell Edward Jones, 73, of Ft. Myers, FL died Tuesday, October 25, 2011. 
Formerly of Palatine, IL, he had been a full time resident of Florida for the 
last three years. He was born November 4, 1937 in Battle Creek, MI, the son of 
Harry Charles and Ernestine (nee Smith) Jones. Although he was successful in 
many professional endeavors, he was most proud of his time as an Illinois 
State Senator. 
 Mr. Jones is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, two daughters, a son 
and four grandchildren.
 A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 3:00 
until 9:00 PM with a memorial service at 7:00PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral 
Home, Palatine, IL.
