 Verona B. Keiper, age 90, went to be with her mother and the Lord, Tuesday, 
January 3, 2012 in Cape Coral, Fl. Verona or MAC as she was known was born 
December 9, 1921 in Fort Ogden, FL to Marshall and Beatrice McCray. She was 
the granddaughter of Bill Polk, a Florida and Fort Odgen Pioneer.Verona moved 
to Fort Myers, FL in 1968.
 MAC loved life and enjoyed dancing, reading, palying cards, gardening and 
cooking for her family and friends.
 She is survived by a son, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, three great-
grandchhildren and two nephews. Verona was preceded in death by her parents 
and two brothers Henry McCray and R.L. McCray.
 A visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2012 from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at 
the chapel of Ponger-KaysGrady Funeral Homes, Arcadia, FL. 
 Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12:30 PM at the cahpel with 
Pastor Benny Anthony of the Guiding Light Community Church officiating. Burial 
will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery where Verona will be laid to rest next to 
her mother, father and long-time friend, Opal McGray.
 The family asks that in lieu of flowers, A Memorial contribution in Verona's 
name to be made to Hope Hospice Cape Coral,FL.
