 Fern E. Long was born in Vigo County, IN on May 19, 1921 and passed away in 
Cape Coral, FL on March 9, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Don and 
Ethel (Myers) Catan.
 She is survived by her daughter and her family,two grandchildren, three great-
grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren,, 1 great-great-great grandson, 
brother and several nieces and nephews. Fern is preceded in death by her 
husband of 43 years, Norman  and her granddaughter Rosetta Spitler.
 The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m at the Fuller Metz Funeral Home 
on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. A celebration of Fern's life will begin at 4 p.m. 
Interment will take place in Terre Haute, IN at the Roselawn Memorial Park.
