Charles was born on Sunday, July 1, 1951 in Charleston, West Virginia to Charles and Edna Mainous. He was the youngest of seven children with five sisters and one brother. Charles was an active community member, coaching footbal and baseball and one of the creators of the youth football program in Estero, FL. He worked for more than 44 years in the telephone industry. He is survived by his loving wife, son, two daughters and their families, one granddaughter, brother and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Edna and his sisters Betty and Janet. Visitation will be held at Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home from 1-4 on Sunday, March 18, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Pope John the XXIII Catholic Church, Ft. Myers MOnday at 11:00 A.M.
