 Carol Jean McCorkle, 82, of Fort Myers,FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, 
January 12, 2012 following an extended illness. She was born April 5, 1929 in 
Barberton, Ohio and has been a longtime Fort Myers resident.
 Mrs. McCorkle leaves to cherish her memory, her several nephews, two nieces, 
several cousins and her daughter-in-law. Her beloved son, Russ McCorkle, her 
husband Howard McCorkle and brother Gary Grimes preceded her in death.
 Carol had a special talent for decorating and flower arranging and served as 
a volunteer on the decorating committees for several local churches and The 
Edison and Ford Homes at Christmas time.
 Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m on January 23rd at Fort Myers
Memorial Garden Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial 
Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 AM until the tome 
of the service.
