 Marie McDuffie, 88, passed away November 28, 2011 at Joanne's Hope Hospice 
House in Bonita Springs, FL. Born on November 1, 1923 in Lakeport, Florida, 
she moved to Ft. Myers in 1949. Marie worked as a food service manager for the 
Lee County School District. She proudly retired after 25 years of dedicated 
service. Marie volunteered each week at a local elementary school where she 
helped the young students with their reading and math skills.
 Marie loved being with her family, cooking, bowling, listening to bluegrass 
music and attending church. 
 She is survived by her four children and their families, seven grandchildren, 
ten great-grandchildren, a brother and sister and many cousins, nieces and 
nephews.
 A viewing will be held at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home, Ft. Myers in the 
chapel on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 5:00 p.m- 7:00 p.m. Funeral services 
will be held Friday, December 2, 1011 at 11:00 a.m at Lee memorial Park 
Cemetery.
