He was born to David Wendell and Edith Lucille (James) Morgan. He graduated from high school in 1953 and a short time later joined the Army. He was attached to the Army Security Agency at Kagnew Station, Asmara, Eritrea and was a veteran of the 1958 United Nations police action in Lebanon. David was a life long member of the VFW. After his discharge he married his wife who bore him twins, a son and a daughter. He earned his BA from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, his MA in psychology from Bowling Green State University and his Doctorial work at the University of Toledo. David joined the psychology staff at the Toledo Mental Health Center. He was promoted to Chairman of the Psychology Department and remained in that position until he retired in 1995. David and his wife moved to Florida and 2001 where he became involved in boating and genealogy. He was a member of the Fort Myers Power Squadron, where he served as the Education Officer. This past year he completed his second family genealogy book. David is survived by his wife, a son and daughter and a grandson, a brother and several family members. A celebration of David's life will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at ALl Faiths Unitarian Congregation, Fort Myers.
