 Janie Mae Barnes North 72, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2012. She was 
born in Columbia, South Carolina on December 9, 1939. She was preceded in 
death by her mother, Lena Barnes, and her father Isaac Kinard. Janie was 
married August 17, 1958 . She leaves her husband of 54 years, two sons and 
their families, six grandchildren,great-grandchildren, two brothers and many 
other families members and friends. 
 Janie graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors Degree 
and worked for about 20 years as a teacher in the Lee County School District 
in Florida.
 The pulbic visitation will be held February 24, 2012 6-8 p.m at Hickson's 
Funeral Home, Ft. Myers. The Home Going Celebration Service will be 10:00 a.m 
Saturday, February 25, 2012 Jesus Christ Outreach Center, Ft. Myers.
