 Jim M. Oswald, 87, passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2012 in Fort Myers, FL. 
He had been under the care of Hope Hospice at the Lee Memorial Rehab Center. 
He was born in Republic, Ohio on August 31, 1924 and grew up in Old Fort, 
Ohio. He lived most of his life in Tiffin, Ohio until retiring to Ft. Myers .
 He is survived by his daughter and her family. 
 He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years M. Ardis Oswald; his 
sisters, Florence McIntyre, Dorothy Replogle, Hazel Oswald and his parents 
William J. and Helen M. Oswald.
 Jim graduated Old Fort High School in 1942 and was drafted into the Army. He 
served three years and receive an Honorable Discharge as a Corporal. He became 
a long-distance trucker and retired from Central Transport in 1982. 
 At his request, Jim has been cremated. There will be a celebration of life at 
the First Christian Church in Ft. Myers and then a graveside service and 
burial in Tiffin, Ohio at a later date.
