 Ellieb Mancel Payne, Jr. passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012. A native of 
Fort Myers, FL he was born July 18, 1932 to Nella and Ellieb Mancel Payne Sr.
 After high school he served in the Korean War in the 187th Airborne for the 
U.S. Army. He worked and retired from Lee County Electric Co-operative.
 He loved coaching baseball for the American Legion Babe Ruth Baseball league. 
He was also a professional fishing guide on Lake Okeechobee. He loved growing 
vegetables and sports of any kind.
 He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Lalla Payne, brothers 
Lamar and Joe Payne and son-in-law, Daryl Button.
 He is survived by his four daughters and their families, eight grandchildren 
and nine great-grandchildren, a brother, and two sisters.
 Service will be held at 11:00 a.m Saturday, January 14, at Grace Baptist 
Temple, Ft. Myers. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be 
made to Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, FL.
