He joins his wife of 38 years, Mary Elizabeth Place, in the hereafter. He was born on August 21, 1919 in Rutland, Vermont to Florence Reenan and George Place. On October 26, 1940 he married Mary Elizabeth Seeley. He leaves behind a son and a daughter and their families, his companion of 25 years, a sister and two brothers and several nieces and nephews. Ken was a veteran of the U.S Navy, serving proudly in World War II. As a Chief Boatswain's Mate, he served his country for seven years, seeing action in both the Atlantic and Pacific. In July of 1944, Ken suffered a severe injury to his left hand during a mine sweeping operation in the China Sea. However, that didn't prevent Ken from a full productive life. Ken moved to Cape Coral in 1984. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary, his sister Florence Bouford and brother Clarence Place. A private family memorial service willbe held at a later date.
