He honorable served his country in the Army Aircorps. After his service, he spent his entire career in the Education field as a teacher, administrator and coach. His passion was football. He began his coaching career at Southern High School in Maryland where he was head football, baseball, basketball coach as well as atheletic director. The then coached at Western Maryland College where he led the baseball team to their very first championship in 1960. He moved to Sarasota,FL in 1962 where he was head football coach at Riverview H.S. He then returned to northern Virginia where he was head coach at W.T. Woodsoon H.S. He moved back to Florida in 1975 to be head football coach at Naples, H.S where he had another 10-0 season in 1979 and was named coach of the year. After Naples, H.S he was head coach for Arch Bishop Verot and finally Cape Coral H.S. He is survived by his wife of 37 years and his five children and their spouses and families.as well as 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A Mass will be held at the Catholic Church of the Ressurrection of Our Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 9:30 a.m .
