 Elden Rasmussen, 89, of Fort Myers Beach,FL died December 17, 2011 at Shell 
Pointe Hospice, Ft. Myers surrounded by his family.
 Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m Tuesday, December 27th at Gollaher 
Chapel, Trinity United Methodist Church, Grand Island NE. Burial will be in 
Grand Island City Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation hours will be 
2-8 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 with the family to recieve friends from 
2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on December 26 at the Apfel 
Funeral Home, Grand Island NE. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer 
Society.
 He was born on November 24, 1922 in Cotesfield, Nebraska to Lauritz (Louie) 
and Johanne (Iversen) Rasmusssen.
 He is survived by his wife with whom he celebrated 63 years this year,  two 
daughters and their families, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death 
by his son, Thomas Elden Rasmussen.
