 Serena Mae DeVoe Riley, 79, died Monday, April 30, 2012 in Fort Myers, FL 
after a lengthy illness.
 She was born in Crescent, New York, to the late Nettie Truland DeVoe and Roy 
DeVoe Sr. Serena was a graduate of Waterford High School. She then married her 
husband on January 1, 1951 in Cohoes, New York. Serena was an account clerk 
with the State of New York in Albany from 1969-1987. A life long resident of 
Crescent New York unitl she and her husband moved to Florida in 2007.
 Serena is survived by her husband, son, two daughters and their families, two 
grandchildren, sister, and three brothers.
 In addition to her parents, Serena was preceded in death by brothers, Jess 
DeVoe, Kenneth DeVoe, Leslie DeVoe, and Eugene DeVoe and sisters Muriel DeVoe, 
Edna Remillard and Evelyn Green.
 Private cremation will be followed by burial at Solomon National Cemetery at 
a date to be announced. Remembrance donations may be made to the National 
Aphasia Association.
