 Rick G. "Shadubie" Shagla 51, of North Fort Myers, FL formerly of Jamestown, 
died Friday, March 16, 2012 in the Cape Coral Hospital surrounded by his 
loving family and friends.
 A Florida resident since 2003, he was born October 28, 1960 in Jamestown, the 
son of the late George T. and Nicolina Lupica Shagla.
 He was a 1979 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown 
Community College with a associate degree in accounting. In Jamestown he was 
the president of Shagla's Business Services. In Florida he workd as a computer 
consultant for Quality POS Systems. 
 For 26 years Rick courageously battled Guillain Barre" Syndrome and 
additionally was even a cancer survivor. 
 Survivors include his daughter and her family, granddaughter, four sisters,a 
brother and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was 
preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Rohde; and his maternal gramdmother, 
Josephine Lupica.
 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m Thursday in Holy 
Apostles Parish, Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church . Burial will be in Holy 
Cross Cemetery.
 The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m Wednesday in the 
Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 1:45 p.m. 
 A memorial service and celebration of Rick's life is being planned in Ft. 
Myers, FL at a later date.
