 Charles "Charlie" T. Smith, 78, of Cape Coral, FL was born in Brooklyn, NY on 
January 31, 1934 to Charles Elmer Smith and Evangeline White-Smith. Charlie 
passed away peacefully in Cape Coral on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Charlie 
graduated from Manhattan Aviation School in 1952. He served honorably as 
Sergeant in the US Marine Coprs as crew chief from 1953-1957. He married his 
wife in 1955. Charlies started working for Eastern Airlines in 1957 and then 
transferred to Miami in 1968. He retired after 32 years. In 1994 he moved to 
Cape Coral.
 He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 57 years, brother,five 
children and their families, and 11 grandchildren. 
 A visitation wil be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home on Sunday, April 1st, 
from 2-5:30 p.m. with service to follow. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. 
Andrews Catholic Church on Monday, April 2 at 10 am with burial and Military 
Honors to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery, Cape Coral.
