Turner, 91, of North Fort Myers, FL died on Monday, February 27, 2012 . He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis and is survived by his wife of 14 years. Born in Burnley, England, he was the son of the late John and Mary Magdalene (Leonard) Turner. He is also predeceased by his sisters and their husbands, Connie and John Sugden, Joan and Martin Davis, Theresa and Ken Bridges, all of England. He served in the Bristis Merchant Navy during World War II on the Pasteur, the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary. He retired as president of a small hardware manufacturer representative firm on Long Island, NY. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and her husband, two grandsons and four great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 6, at St. Therese Catholic Mission, North Fort Myers. with burial to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Visitation will be on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 4-6 PM at Fort Myers Gardens Funeral Home.
