 Karl Wilfred Zeigler, born near Messick, Henry Country, Indiana, August 21, 
1917. He died in Cape Coral, FL October 23, 2011. He marrid Mairiam Esther 
Kangas on April 9, 1944 who preceded him in death in May, 2011. He is survived 
by his 5 children and their spouses. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren 
and 11 great-grandchidren.
 Karl served in WWII in the South Pacific theater from 1944 to 1946,earning 
the rank of Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy . Following military service, he 
worked for Miesel Company of Detroit, MI rising to Vice President of Sales for 
Sysco Foods. He and Miriam retired to Cape Coral in 1979.
 A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Cape 
Coral, at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Burial will be beside Miriam, 
his wife of 57 years in Lakeside Cemetery, Hancock, Michigan.
