  Wayne Elmer Zimmer, age 89, passed away on December 8, 2011 at the Larsen 
pavillion at Shell Point in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born October 5, 1922 at home 
in Greenville, WI to the late Elmer and Lilly Zimmer. He is survived by his 
wife of 49 years, a daughter,and a son. He was preceded in death by one 
brother. He served two years in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was honorably 
discharded in 1945. He was employed as a sales engineer for Manitowoc 
Shipbuilding Inc in Manitowoc, WI. He retired in 1987 at which time he and his 
wife moved to Ft. Myers, FL. He was a member of McGregor Baptist Church and 
sang in the church choir for many years. 
 National Cremation & Burail Society is handling the arrangements. Burail will 
be in Appleton, WI. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
