The New Enterprise, Oct. 31, 1901
   Again the Angel of Death has visited the home of Mr. A. H. Loper, this time
claiming for its victim little Monue, who was born Sept. 3rd, 1891, died Oct.
18, 1901. Was buried Saturday, Oct. 19, 1901, beside her mother at New Hopeful
Baptist Church. Rev. J. A. Davis conducted the burial service.

   Mother and sister thy
   Place left here is vacant
      And can never be filled,
      And thy voice on earth is ever stilled
   Yet we can raise our hearts in gladness
   For there is rest, just over there.
