D. One Thousand Nine Hundred and twenty eight, personally appeared before me a notary public in and for the County and State aforesaid Mrs. John M. Aull (widow) a resident of Palmetto County of Manatee State of Florida, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain a pension under the provisions of the General Pension Laws of Florida. That she is the lawful widow of John M. Aull who enlisted under the name of John M. Aull on the 7th day of September, 1863, in Company G 13th Regiment of the State of South Carolina Infantry and who was honorably discharged at the conclusion of the war date not known on account of peace (service records available attached hereto). Affiant formerly drew pension from State of South Carolina but when she moved to Florida this was discontinued. That she was lawfully married to the said John M. Aull under the name of Sarah Smith in the County of Edgefield (Saluda) State of South Carolina on the 16 day of August, 1888, and that she was not divorced from him before nor has she remarried since his death, which occurred on the 10 day of October, 1910, in the County of Leesville, State of South Carolina except as hereinafter stated. That she is a resident of Manatee County, Florida, and has continuously resided in the State of Florida since the first part of November, 1919, about 10th of November when Oaks Hotel at Palmetto was opened. That she was heretofore granted a pension from the State of Florida under Certificate No. none. That she is not a pensioner of any other State. That her Postoffice address is Palmetto, County of Manatee, State of Florida. Sarah Aull (Signature of Claimant.) Attest: (1) Dewey A. Dy? John F. Banks, September 7, 1863, and that he was serving therewith at the time of the making of the last muster roll now available, that of December 31, 1864. A. S. Muster roll Nov. & Dec. 1864, (the latest on file) shows him present, a Private. Capture, parole or later record not found. John F. Banks was Captain of Co. G. The stamped addressed envelope inclosed [sic] is returned herewith. 3 inclosures [sic] Lutz Wahl, Major General, The Adjutant General (a) Blank (b) State of Florida County of Manatee Before me, a Notary Public, in and for the County and State aforesaid, personally appeared J. C. Smith, who, being duly sworn according to law, deposes and says for himself that he was present at the marriage of John M. Aull and Sarah Smith which occurred at Edgefield on the 16 day of August, A. D. 1888, in the County of Edgefield, State of South Carolina and that the ceremony was performed by Rev. Bowles (now deceased) Lutheran Church. J. C. Smith (L.S.) Sworn and subscribed before me this 4 day of June, A. D. 1928. Smith who, being duly sworn according to laws, deposes and says, each for himself, that he knows of his own personal knowledge of the death of John M. Mabel King Notary Public Report of County Commissioners We, the undersigned, County Commissioners in and for the County of ____, Florida, do hereby report that at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners held this day, the foregoing application of ____ for a pension under the Laws of Florida was investigated by us; that we are satisfied that the applicant has been a bona fide citizen of the State of Florida for eight years just preceding the date of this application, and that the representations made in the petition and affidavits are true, and that a pension should be granted the applicant.
