BULLOCK, RAYMOND BRAMHALL, of Ocala, on the basis of many years of practice has received a 
reputation as a criminal lawyer second to none in the state.  He has honored the same 
profession in which his father, General ROBERT BULLOCK, held such a high place in Florida, 
and also has many of the interests of a man of affairs.

He was born at Ocala, September 16, 1867.  A brief sketch of the career of his honored father 
appears elsewhere.  As a boy, probably stimulated by the example of his father, he had an 
ambition for the law.  He was educated in private schools, attended school at Chapel Hill 
and the Bingham Military School in North Carolina, and was also educated privately by Dr. 
C. B. WILMER, now rector of St. Paul?s Episcopal Church of Atlanta.  For six years he was 
clerk in the office of the circuit clerk at Ocala, and also studied law with the firm of 
Bullock & Burford.  He was admitted to the bar in 1891, and for over thirty years has been 
engaged in general practice, achieving his special mark as a criminal lawyer.  He has been 
city attorney, and for almost twenty years has been assistant assessor and city recorder of 
Ocala.  Representing Marion County in the Legislature in 1903 he introduced a bill creating
the City Court for Ocala.  He was also elected without opposition.  In the old days of convention 
he was a leader in politics, but had given practically no attention to politics since 1913.  
He is a past chancellor commander of Ocala Lodge, Knights of Pythias.

October 7, 1887, at Gainesville, Florida, he married MUSIE WRIGHT, a native of Murfreesboro, 
Tennessee.  Her father, Capt. HARRY C. WRIGHT, was born in Pennsylvania, went to Tennessee as 
a young man, became a merchant at Murfreesboro, and on moving to Florida established a mercantile 
business at Lake Weir.  Subsequently he was a banker at Ocala, and then connected with the 
Southern Exchange Bank of Atlanta, and during later years was engaged in the seed business 
with his son at Macon, Georgia, where he died July 24, 1910, at the age of eighty.  He was 
a prominent Mason and a member of the Presbyterian Church.  Mrs. BULLOCK?s mother was MUSIE 
DORA RUCKER BROWN.  Mrs. BULLOCK is a prominent member of the Women?s Club of Ocala, and is 
vice president of the Florida State Chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy.  The eight 
children of Mr. and Mrs. BULLOCK are HARRY B., who died in Jacksonville in February, 1920, 
aged thirty-one; JOSEPHINE V., wife of S. T. TRANTHAM, an Ocala attorney; RAYMOND S., a 
railroad man living at Jacksonville, Florida: MUSIE, ALBERT L., MILDRED L., CLIFFORD B., 
and CARLOS E.
