One Thousand Nine Hundred and Nine, personally appeared before me, a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid Mrs. Georgia Ann Driggers, a resident of Oklawaha, County of Marion, State of Florida, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain a pension under the provisions of Chapter 5885, Laws of Florida, approved June 7, 1909. That she is the widow of James Atchison Driggers who was enlisted under the name of James A. Driggers on the --- day of October, 1863, in Company H, 9th Regiment of the State of Florida and who was honorably discharged at Appomattox, Virginia, 1865, on account of Gen. Lee’s surrender. (Here give complete statement of other service, if any.) That he also served in Capt. Keydricks Company Mounted Vol’s in Indian War of 1857. That she was lawfully married to the said James A. Driggers under the name of Georgia Ann Morrison in the county of Marion, State of Florida, on the 9th day of November, 1859 and that she was not divorced from him and that she has not remarried since his death, which occurred on the 23rd day of January, 1904, (sic) in the County of Marion, State of Florida. That she is a resident of Marion County, Florida, and has continuously resided in the State of Florida since the 30th day of January 1850. Driggers, deceased, who departed this life on the 23rd day of January A. D. 1903 (sic), in the county of Marion in the State of Florida. I was married to him on the 9th day of November, A. D. 1859, in the county of Marion, in the State of Florida. I have not remarried since the death of my said husband James A. Driggers. My husband, the said James A. Driggers enlisted and served in the (Military or Naval) Military service of the (What State or Confederate States) Confederate States during the war between the States of the United States, and he did not desert the Confederate or State service. That she is the lawful widow of James A. Driggers who enlisted on or about the 20th day of January 1858, in Captain Wm. K. Kendrick’s Company, Indpt. Mounted Volunteers Regiment of the State of Florida and who was on the 10th day of May, 1858, at Ft. Brook in the State of Florida honorably discharged from said service, and died on the 23rd day of Jany. 1904 (sic) at his home in Marion County, Florida. That she was legally married to said soldier prior to the first day of January, 1885, at Moss Bluff in the State of Florida; that she has been a bona fide resident of the State of Florida continuously, since the first day of January, A. D. 1890; that she does not own property, real and personal, to the value of $800 in this or any other State, and is not otherwise enabled or in a position to earn a livelihood, and has no income from any source sufficient for a livelihood; and that she has not purposely disposed of any property for the purpose of availing herself of the provisions of this act. Driggers, private, Company F, 6th Battalion Florida Infantry, Confederate States Army, which finally became Company F, 9th Florida Infantry, Confederate States Army (name not found on rolls of Company K), was enlisted March 3, 1863, at Gainesville, Florida (Orange Springs and Camp Lee also reported as place of enlistment), to serve three years. He was surrendered with General Lee’s Army and was paroled at Appomattox Court House, Virginia, April 9, 1865. F. C.
