One Thousand Nine Hundred and 13 personally appeared before me, a Notary Public in and for the county and State aforesaid, Robert C. Johnson who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is ^ was 68 years of age, having been born on the 1st day of March, 1847, in the county of Pike, in the State of Georgia. That he is a bona fide citizen of the county of Marion, State of Florida. That he has resided in the State of Florida continuously since the 1st dayof (sic) January, 1902. That he is the identical person who enlisted at Savannah, Ga., under the name of Robert C. Johnson, on the 16th day of April, 1864, in Company [B] C, Regiment 6th of the State of Ga., in the service of the (Here state whether the service claimed was in the Confederate States Army or in the service of a State.) Confederate States and who was honorably discharged at Greensboro, in the State of N. C., on the 26th day of April, 1865, on account of ending of War. (Here state fully any other military service performed by the applicant). ……………………………………………………………………………………………… (Please give date and place of capture, imprisonment, exchange or parole.) I was never captured. That I served faithfully until honorably discharged from the service of the Confederate States in the year 1865, and did not desert the service of the Confederate States nor take the oath of allegiance to the United States until after the surrender of the Confederate Armies. Johnson enlisted in Company C 6 Regiment of the State of Georgia at Savannah, in the State of Ga., on the …. day of April 1864; that he served faithfully in the said organization until the 26 day of April 1865, when he was honorably discharged on account of Ending of War at Greensboro in the State of N. C., and did not desert the Confederate States service nor take the oath of allegiance to the United States before the close of the War.
